Easter Weekend
by Becky Broome
The upcoming Easter weekend is the first bank holiday of the year and it’s a great excuse to get together with friends and family. It is an opportunity to catch up on a bit of DIY or maybe get away for a weekend break. If you have decided to stay at home this bank holiday and entertain guests, then we have a few ideas to inspire you. Why not gather the kids together for an egg hunt and have a BBQ or picnic, weather permitting!
Easter Decor
Decorating your home doesn’t have to be reserved just for Christmas. Subtle decorations both indoors and out will keep your Easter decor chic and modern. Try a branch display with personalised hanging decorations or dress your dining table with some hand painted eggs in pastel colours.
Dinner Party Recipes
Here are a few Spring time recipes to make good use of the seasonal vegetables available.
Garden Party
Now is a good time to invest in some new outdoor furniture but if the weather isn’t great, you could always add a gazebo. If there is still a chill in the air you could add cosy touches to your outdoor space with rugs, blankets and lanterns. Update your barware with handled glass drinking jars. These can be personalised and are perfect for sipping summer cocktails in the garden with friends.
Easter Drinks
Your dinner party or BBQ would just not be complete without some Easter themed drinks and cocktails.
Easter Entertainment for Children
Don’t forget about the kids over the bank holiday weekend. Keep them entertained with some baking and crafts, or organise an egg hunt and with their own individual personalised treat jars, there will be no arguing as to whose eggs are whose!
