by Josh Dyer
We could all do with some self-care right about now! Self-care is quite often overlooked but is so important to our overall wellbeing. Whether you want to focus on your mental, emotional, or physical health, or even all three. We have found some of the top self-care activities for you to try out.
There’s nothing quite like home baked goodies. Spending an afternoon baking is the perfect way to spend some me-time. Choose to make something nice and simple or test your skills with a more adventurous bake. Plus baking and decorating is a great activity to get the kids involved in.
For most of us, there simply isn’t enough time in the day to read for pleasure. But setting aside some time to read can be very enriching. Maybe it’s a book you’ve always meant to read but never got around too. Or maybe it is your favourite book that you have read countless times before. Perhaps it’s just your favourite magazine if you aren’t a fan of books.
Exercising is such a great form of self-care! There are so many different options you can choose between. Some calming yoga, an intense HIIT workout, or a peaceful walk or jog. There are tons of instructional videos online to help you out whether you are a beginner or more advanced. Whatever you choose, getting your endorphins flowing will make a huge difference.
Cocktail making is a great way to experiment and have some fun with your drinks. With just a few home bar essentials you can make a whole range of exotic drinks. Our ‘Home Bar‘ board on Pinterest is full of recipes and bar cart inspiration.
Sometimes doing nothing at all the is the best form of self-care possible. Have a bath, put on your favourite music, light some candles, have a glass of your favourite tipple, take a nap. Do whatever you feel you need when you need it!
