Alternative Mother’s Day Celebrations

Mums have always had to juggle the necessary jobs of everyday life. This last year has pushed our mums to their limits but they have truly risen to the challenge. Mums up and down the country have taken on the roles of teacher, caregiver, provider, role model, confidant, and voice of reason. For all that they do and for all that they are, mums deserve to be celebrated this Mother’s Day more than ever.

She’s more than just mum, she’s everything you need her to be.

That’s why we want you to be everything she needs this Mother’s Day. Your mum deserves to be spoiled. But this year we need to think outside the box and so we are here to help. We have come up with some alternative Mother’s Day celebrations to make sure her day is magical.

Brunch/Afternoon Tea

When you think of Mother’s Day celebrations, brunch and afternoon tea are quintessential. There’s nothing like indulging in some baked goods and a glass or two of fizz with the ones you love. Why compromise on tradition, simply go virtual. Drop off a box of food and bubbly, order some to be delivered or even just the ingredients to make together over zoom.

Movie Night

Who doesn’t love a good mother-daughter movie? Or Rom-Com? Or maybe you and your mum love a good horror! Whatever your favourite genre a virtual movie night is the perfect way to try and bring some normality. Snuggle in with a hot drink and watch along together.

Wine Tasting

A virtual wine tasting is a perfect activity for the mum that loves to unwind with a glass or two. Simply drop off a few miniature bottles of her favourite colour and some nibbles or a cheeseboard. Then all that’s left to do is enjoy a delightful afternoon of sipping and snacking together.

Spa Day

A virtual spa day is the ultimate treat for the mum that loves to be pampered. Drop off some of her favourite beauty products and maybe even a little bottle of something to help her unwind. Sit back and relax with a facemask on (not the face-covering variety) and have a relaxing catch-up.

Decorate Her Front Door

If you’re going to be dropping her present off anyway then why not go the extra mile and decorate the door with a spring wreath, a banner or some of her favourite flowers. Not only will this be an extra special surprise to make her smile but she’ll also be able to keep it on display all season long.

Write Her a Letter
